Our First Year is in the history books…and now we continue…
St. Croix Falls WI was the site of the very first Hockey Day WI! Hockey fans that attended are now part of history as they experienced thrilling outdoor hockey, community pride, and unforgettable moments.
The 2nd annual Hockey Day Wisconsin will be hosted at the River Valley Hockey Associations Outdoor Rink, again, in 2027. Fans can expect another showcase of skilled youth, high school, and collegiate level hockey talent.
Get ready for another unforgettable celebration of the game, on natural outdoor ice, for the game we all love!

Hockey Day Wisconsin is a nonprofit outdoor hockey event dedicated to bringing the game back to its roots. All proceeds from Hockey Day Wisconsin are donated directly to organizations and associations in need, helping to support growth initiatives, facility improvements, and essential operational needs.
As Hockey Day Wisconsin continues to grow, the event will rotate from city to city across Wisconsin, creating an even greater economic and community impact statewide. In its inaugural year (January 9–11, 2026), the event hosted 13 outdoor hockey games featuring teams from the Squirts, Peewees, Bantams, and High School Boys’ and Girls’ Varsity and JV levels, welcoming more than 1,000 spectators throughout the weekend.
If you are a hockey enthusiast, a proud Wisconsin supporter, an advocate for youth sports, or were unable to attend but would like to contribute, donations are welcomed to support the continued growth of this event.
